⚠️Travel Advisory: Heavy Rainfall

29 October 2026

Nepal Tourism Board urges all visitors and travelers to remain alert as Cyclone Arnab is expected to influence weather conditions across Nepal from the night of 29 October 2026.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), Koshi, Bagmati, Madhesh, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds on 30–31 October. Heavy snowfall, snowstorms and avalanches are also possible in high-altitude and Himalayan areas.

Rainfall may increase the risk of landslides, flash floods and river flooding, potentially disrupting road and air transport, particularly along vulnerable mountain roads and river corridors.

Travelers are advised to:

- Avoid non-essential travel during periods of heavy rainfall.

- Postpone trips to high-hill and Himalayan areas and remain in safe locations if already there.

- Check road conditions and official weather forecasts before travelling.
