Beeshazar and Associated Lakes, situated in the inner Terai, are surface and ground water fed natural lakes in Chitwan National Park. With more than 3200 hectares area, Beeshazar and Associcated lakes are one of the largest wetlands of the country. The vegetation within the lakes make it an attractive place and the wetland welcomes high number of visitors throughout a year. There are wide range of flora and fauna found in the wetland.
Nepal Tourism Board is a national tourism organization of Nepal established in 1998 by an Act of Parliament in the form of partnership between the Government of Nepal and private sector tourism industry to develop and market Nepal as an attractive tourist destination. The Board provides platform for vision-drawn leadership for Nepal’s tourism sector by integrating Government commitment with the dynamism of private sector.
