Accessible Tourism Trail

With the goals to make trekking inclusive and available for people from different walks of life and belonging to various age groups, Nepal opened the first accessible trekking trail in Kaski in the year 2018.The trail has also been recognized as a certified accessible trail which starts from Kaskikot, an area located about 38 km from the city of Pokhara. Views of Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu can be enjoyed while wandering through this trail. The trail extends up to a distance of 1.3 km from its starting point. Accessible tourism trail is truly one of its kind as it is equipped with amenities and services that facilitate elderly and physically challenged.

 

Nepal Tourism Board is a national tourism organization of Nepal established in 1998 by an Act of Parliament in the form of partnership between the Government of Nepal and private sector tourism industry to develop and market Nepal as an attractive tourist destination. The Board provides platform for vision-drawn leadership for Nepal’s tourism sector by integrating Government commitment with the dynamism of private sector.
